Responsibilities
* Providing amazing nursing care to critically ill and injured patients from triage throughout their stay with us
* Working directly with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective treatment and patient care
* Monitor patients closely, administer medications, assist with medical and surgical procedures as needed
* IV catheter placement, blood collection, assisting with diagnostic imaging. This could progress to advanced line placements and advanced critical monitoring in our dedicated CCU for the right candidate
* Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
* Client communication, providing advice, answering questions and supporting clients during stressful times
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with minimum 2 years' nursing experience
* A passion to advance their skills with regular CE and ongoing in-house mentorship
* Previous experience working within an emergency and specialty hospital would be highly regarded but not essential
* Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask/prioritise
* Ability to provide high quality patient care even in busy conditions
* A friendly, team player attitude - team culture is very important to us!
* Strong communication skills
* Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and some public holidays
