We are currently seeking an experienced Project Exploration Geologist to support and lead field-based exploration programs across our exploration sites.
This role offers strong technical exposure, genuine ownership of programs, and the opportunity to contribute to discovery within a respected and well-resourced gold producer.
The Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will be responsible for the safe execution and supervision of exploration programs while developing and refining exploration models using mineral systems concepts.
You will compile, interpret and integrate geological, geochemical, geophysical and drilling data to support informed targeting and decision-making.
This is a hands-on, field-focused role on an 8:6 roster, suited to someone who enjoys ownership, technical challenge and working closely with teams on site.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and supervise exploration programs including mapping, sampling and drill logging to company standards
Develop and manage work programs in collaboration with senior geologists
Interpret geological, geochemical, geophysical and drilling data and provide timely reporting
Provide in-field leadership and technical support to Exploration Geologists, Field Technicians and contractors
Monitor programs against budgets, schedules and safety requirements
Ensure compliance with tenure, heritage, health and safety and regulatory obligations
Engage with internal stakeholders and external parties including contractors, landholders and regulators
About You
Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geological Science
Broad experience across mineral exploration environments, deposit styles and project stages
Strong field leadership capability with excellent attention to detail
Solid understanding of WA exploration, safety, heritage and tenure requirements
Proficient with industry-standard geological software
Current WA C Class Driver's Licence and National Police Clearance
