What You’ll Do
* Lead and contribute to software prototyping, design, development, and engineering approach selection.
* Collaborate with Systems Engineers to analyze, define, and implement requirements.
* Perform software development activities including coding, unit testing, integration, and system testing.
* Customize and integrate tools, and support system release and deployment.
* Ensure software quality by adhering to defined engineering processes and best practices.
* Mentor junior engineers and participate in research, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Background
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience and training).
* Proactive, business‑aware professional able to identify issues, build relationships, and drive objectives.
* Experience in a senior role within an engineering or project environment.
* Experience developing or supporting geospatial systems.
* Strong knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodologies and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
* Experience integrating and customizing systems using open‑source technologies, REST/SOAP/messaging, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
