The Engineering Technician will assist engineers in designing and compiling drawings and permit packages and will complete simple to intermediate plan sets and drawings.Key ResponsibilitiesUse CAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Microstation, InRoads, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and other software programs relevant to the discipline to develop simple to intermediate, technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings.Review work to ensure accuracy, make corrections from red lines, and backcheck.Perform tasks within the assigned work-hour budget.Maintain documentation and project records.Coordinate technically with other disciplines as assigned by the Project Manager.Assist with simple design calculations, quantify, review technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.Support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce errors & omissions.Conduct building surveys and related field work as assigned.Education and ExperienceAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.0 to 4 years of relevant job experience.No licensure required.QualificationsStrong working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Microstation, InRoads, and other relevant software/drafting programs (HAP, Sketch-up, Photoshop, etc.).Experience with InRoads (surfaces, templates), 3D modeling, and rendering for projects.Ability to understand and manipulate client-specific prototypes.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.Open-minded, technically capable problem solver willing to learn new methods and technologies.EEO StatementLarson Design Group, Inc. is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
