Generalist Lawyer – Family, Property, Wills & Estates
Job Responsibilities:
As a Generalist Lawyer at the law firm, you will have a hands-on role where you will be responsible for managing and carrying your own files, with support available when needed. Your work will encompass a range of legal areas, including:
Family Law – parenting and property matters, divorce, binding financial agreements, child support, and intervention orders.
Property Law – residential and commercial conveyancing, contract negotiation and advice, settlements, and leases.
Wills & Estates – creating wills, managing powers of attorney, advanced care directives, probate, and estate administration.
Additionally, you will be required to attend court, mediations, and negotiations as needed, manage files using Smokeball, and maintain sharp time, task, and billing records. Your role will also involve being a steady, reliable voice for your clients and maintaining a calm presence within the team.
Education and Experience Information:
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 1 year of post-admission experience as a lawyer. Admission to practice law in Australia is required.
