Working hours: Fulltime, 38 hours per week. A passion for cooking and respect for work ethics is essential to this rapid‑paced workplace.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking food as per restaurant menu
Planning menu items
Estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
Ensuring quality and presentation of all foods
Training and developing kitchen staff
Receiving and storing food stocks, kitchen supplies and equipment
Discussing food preparation issues with senior management
Implementing, explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations and ensuring a secure workplace
Selecting and training staff
Freezing and preserving foods
Qualifications and Experience
Must have AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management
Must have experience working as a Chef for a minimum of 1 year
