About the Role
Are you ready to join the team at Australia's newest Kenworth and DAF truck dealership? Welcome to Melbourne North Truck Centre, the latest addition to the extremely successful Hallam and Bayswater Truck Centres. As a full‐service Kenworth and DAF Truck dealership, we offer new truck sales, parts, and mechanical servicing, proudly serving the North of Melbourne, including Somerton and Ballarat territories. Currently operating from our interim location on Hume Highway in Somerton, we are eagerly anticipating the completion of our state‐of‐the‐art dealership in 2028 in Mickleham, which is set to revolutionise the truck sales and service customer experience in Melbourne.
Melbourne North Truck Centre are seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join their workshop service team!

Duties & Responsibilities
* Repairs, service and inspections to engines, gearboxes, brakes, diffs etc. on a wide range of trucks, buses and trailers.
* Diagnostic analysis using the latest diagnostic software and computer equipment
* Produce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order
* Provide support and guidance to Apprentice technicians
* VicRoads roadworthy inspections
* Mechanical and hydraulic works along with auto‐electrical and fabrication work
If you have
* Minimum certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate/qualification
* Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry
* Experience with American, European or Japanese drivelines will be highly regarded
* Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer focused team
* Current HC/HR drivers licence an advantage but not essential
* Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards
* High levels of motivation, reliable with a can‐do, positive attitude
* Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
* Own tools
