A respected organisation in the resources sector is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and contract management across professional services categories. Based in Brisbane, this is a contract role for up to 12 months, with an immediate start required. There is a potential for this role to go permanent for the right candidate. The successful candidate must be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible work arrangements available.
Your new role
As Procurement Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing procurement activities across consulting, labour hire, legal, and HR services. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure value, compliance, and continuity of service delivery.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Leading sourcing and contract negotiations across professional services categories
* Managing supplier relationships and performance
* Supporting category strategy development and implementation
* Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and governance frameworks
* Collaborating with legal and commercial teams on contract terms
* Monitoring spend, savings, and supplier KPIs
* Providing procurement insights and reporting to stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Procurement experience in professional services categories (consulting, labour hire, legal, or HR)
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Experience working in large, complex organisations
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Proficiency in procurement systems and reporting tools
