Equipment Service Lead
Job Description:
This role is responsible for overseeing equipment service operations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Handling customer inquiries and providing technical advice on repair solutions.
* Assisting in the scheduling of service appointments, preparation of work orders, and assigning tasks to team members.
* Coordinating with the service manager to plan job schedules, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion.
* Reviewing and processing warranty claims to ensure fair treatment of customers.
* Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
* Supervising all shop activities in the absence of the service manager.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Valid driver's license.
* Previous experience as a supervisor or lead in a similar field.
Education and Skills:
* High school diploma or equivalent, with one year of post-secondary education in heavy equipment or two years of mechanical experience as a service technician.
* A 2-year degree and familiarity with industrial equipment are preferred.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in computer applications and software relevant to the role.
Skills:
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, technical documents, and procedures.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Certifications and Licenses:
* Valid driver's license and Forklift Certification required.
Work Environment:
Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, and outside weather. Noise level is usually quiet.
