Job Description
The role involves managing freight-related queries from customers and key clients, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating freight runs by working closely with drivers to align delivery and pick-up schedules.
Other responsibilities include responding to phone calls and emails, resolving customer inquiries in a prompt and professional manner, supporting coordination of dispatch operations to ensure freight is dispatched on time and according to delivery deadlines, coordinating set delivery runs with drivers, engaging directly with drivers to provide operational support and maintain effective communication, monitoring freight volumes to ensure they remain within capacity, liaising with supervisors to organize additional vehicles when freight volumes exceed planned capacity, extracting and analyzing data from spreadsheets to support route planning and operational efficiency, generating operational and performance reports using Power BI and other reporting tools, producing and maintaining KPI reports to track delivery performance and service levels, utilizing internal systems and software for routing assistance, administrative tasks, and data entry, maintaining various spreadsheet trackers, compliance documents, and operational reports, ensuring they are regularly updated and accurate, educating customers on how to use self-service platforms and assisting with general inquiries as needed, occasionally interacting with customers to resolve delivery or freight-related concerns, and ensuring all freight is properly restrained in accordance with safety and compliance requirements.
