Skills and Experiences:
- Proven fabrication and welding expertise across mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for handling unexpected challenges.
- Proficiency in analysing and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Expertise in selecting and preparing metal stock for projects.
- Skilful use of hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines for precise cutting.
- Proficiency in shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools.
- Able to align parts accurately using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting methods.
- Inspection skills to evaluate welds for width, penetration, and precision.
- Experience in finishing products through cleaning, polishing, filing, and acidic solutions.
- Ability to refine welds through filing, chiselling, and grinding for a clean finish.
- Excellent teamwork abilities and abilities to work independently.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, hardworking, and punctual nature.
- Physical fitness for manual tasks.
Credentials:
- AQF Certificate III, including a minimum of two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3), or a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Current Australian Driver's License.
- Up to date White Card (OHS Construction Induction Training Certificate).
- Forklift License (desirable but not essential).
