Per Diem Nursing Assistant
This role involves supporting donors through their donation process, while working collaboratively to achieve collection targets. As a Per Diem Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for greeting and interviewing potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate.
You will also be required to complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, set up machines, various tubing and collection bags, and insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets. Additionally, you will monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation.
A day in this role could see you:

We offer paid and flexible self-paced training program that has a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported. There is also an opportunity to enrol and gain a Certificate III in Pathology.
In this role, you'll need to be able to occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs, frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products. You'll also need to be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
This is a permanent part-time position with 52 hours per fortnight, including 4 x 6 hour shifts and 4 x 7 hour shifts across a fortnight.
