Information Management & Technology Services (IMTS) is the University central IT provider, responsible for delivering to the campus community a robust infrastructure platform enabling the delivery of services and support in line with strategic and operational requirements.
The Communications Engineer will join the IMTS Infrastructure group and will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing support primarily of the University’s Audio-Visual Systems. However, there will also be a requirement to support, data, wireless and network services including voice and video as required supporting the diverse research, teaching and corporate needs of the university.
This position requires high level analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal skills to provide prompt responses and resolutions that support key business operations and assist in the preparation, development, and implementation of configuration specifications for project upgrades and fit outs.
You have a commitment to providing quality customer service as you call upon your experience and exposure to customer service operations to manage feedback, complaints and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure an understanding of network and AV topology and supporting operational and project activities.
