Central Australian Women's Legal Service (CAWLS) is a dynamic Community Legal Centre serving women in Central Australia and the Barkly Region. With offices in Alice Springs and Tennant Creek, CAWLS supports women impacted by Domestic and Family Violence through a holistic and culturally safe approach.

About the Opportunity
Central Australian Women's Legal Service (CAWLS) is looking for a part-time Human Resource Lead (3 days per week), working remotely.
This newly created role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be responsible for delivering comprehensive HR services and ensuring compliance with organisational values and policies.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Managing the employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding and exit
* Providing HR support, working with staff and management to address issues with sensitivity and confidentiality
* Assisting in performance management and development of training programs
* Developing, implementing and monitoring HR policies, ensuring legal compliance
* Maintaining accurate HR records and preparing reports
* Assisting with payroll processes
About You
To qualify, you will need a relevant HR qualification (e.g., Certificate IV in Human Resources), and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
* Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law and enterprise agreements
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
* Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to work independently and in a team
