About the role
Riverview Mind Clinic has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join their team on a contract basis. This is a pivotal role that will contribute to the strategic objectives of the organisation by providing high-quality occupational therapy services to our clients. Based in Maroochydore, Queensland, this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the local community.
What you'll be doing
* Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals
* Developing and implementing personalised treatment plans to improve clients' independence, skills, and quality of life
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, client-centred care
* Educating clients and their families on strategies and assistive technologies to promote functional independence
* Maintaining detailed client records and contributing to the continuous improvement of occupational therapy services
What we're looking for
* A degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated experience in a similar occupational therapy role, preferably within a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
* Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to provide effective, evidence-based interventions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for improving client outcomes
