Note: 
(1) Travel to attend Defence trials and tests (both within Victoria and interstate) is a requirement of this position.
(2) Attendance at Defence trials and tests is field work conducted in all weather conditions and will at times involve working at heights and working in confined spaces so you must be capable of handling the physical elements of the role (for example, capable of mounting camera equipment in confined spaces within vehicles).

**APS 5 Technical Imaging Specialist**: 
The right person for the APS 5 Technical Imaging Specialist role will be a team member accountable under guidance for the achievement of detailed photography/media work. 
- Hold a photography qualification or have proven relevant photography industry experience (highly desirable), 
- Have an understanding of photography (studio based and/or in the field) and experience using the Adobe Creative Suite of software for post-production activities, 
- Be able to work as part of a team in an integrated environment, and 
- Be able to tailor communication style and language to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
**APS 6 Technical Imaging Specialist**: 
The right person for the APS 6 Technical Imaging Specialist role will be accountable for the achievement of detailed and complex photography/media work, both independently and leading a small team. 
- Hold a photography qualification or have proven relevant photography industry experience (highly desirable), 
- Have an understanding of visual capture of data, photography and video (studio based and/or in the field), 
- Have experience executing lighting configurations for all media capture, 
- Have experience using the Adobe Creative Suite of software for post-production activities, 
- Lead and manage a team to provide direction and guidance to mentor other team members, 
- Be able to tailor communication style and language to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and 
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking initiative to achieve outcomes.
