About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operator Maintainer – Electrical to join our team at Townsville Power Station. This combined-cycle, gas-fired facility has the capability to operate in open cycle and synchronous condenser modes, supplying electricity and system stability to the National Electricity Market. The station plays a critical role in maintaining Queensland's energy security.

As an Operator Maintainer - Electrical you will form part of our multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the plant, including routine, preventative, corrective, and reactive tasks. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute directly to plant reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do
* Maintain and promote a safe working environment.
* Perform electrical maintenance—routine, preventative, corrective and breakdown.
* Support plant operations, including start-ups and shutdowns.
* Conduct inspections, walkdowns, and return-to-service activities.
* Identify and implement improvements in maintenance practices.
* Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
* Ensure compliance with Worley's HSE standards and procedures.
What you'll have
* Electrical trade qualification (mandatory).
* Previous power industry experience (desirable).
* HV switching qualification.
* Instrumentation, gas fitting, and hazardous area training.
* QTP certification.
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Current C-Class driver's licence.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
