About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Maritime business based either at Osborne, SA, or Melbourne, Vic.
Job Responsibilities
* Review engineering artefacts and identify mechanical issues in drawings or artefacts.
* Work with stakeholders to address identified issues and provide solutions prior to production.
* Assist with engineering change reviews and design reviews on artifacts used for production, manufacturing and assembly as part of DCE DDG upgrade program.
* Advice and define production techniques with respect to assembly and test process capabilities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
* Demonstrated experience in mechanical or structural design, reviewing and analysing mechanical drawings/artefacts, ideally in a production environment.
* Experience working in a maritime or ship building environment is highly desirable.
* Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team as per assigned tasking needs.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills - communication both written and verbal to internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
