Support Worker Role in Home Care
Aged care involves providing support and assistance to elderly individuals in their homes, focusing on personal care, domestic tasks, social activities, and transportation.
Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
* Perform light housekeeping tasks, like laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
* Encourage social interaction through activities, games, and conversations.
* Accompany clients on outings, providing safe transportation and supervision.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: A Certificate III or IV in aged care or a related field is advantageous.
* Experience: Previous experience in aged care or support roles is preferred but not mandatory.
* Skills: Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a genuine care for elderly clients are essential.
This role requires a compassionate individual who can build strong relationships with our elderly clients and their families.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a valid driver's license.
