About the Role We are currently seeking Mental Health Clinician to join a Community Mental Health Acute Care Service in Lismore, Northern NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and highly skilled multidisciplinary team, providing timely and responsive mental health support to individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities Include: Provide evidence-based mental health care including triage, comprehensive assessments, safety planning and brief interventions Participate in psychiatric emergency interventions and short-term community-based treatment Conduct risk assessments and manage mental health crises in collaboration with stakeholders Develop care plans using a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approach Work across a 7-day rotating roster with extended hours, providing outreach and in-community services Maintain accurate documentation and comply with NSW Mental Health Act requirements Work collaboratively with families, carers, GPs, psychiatrists, and other service providers To Be Successful in the Role, You Will Have: A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing or Counselling Registration with AHPRA or eligibility with AASW, depending on profession Demonstrated experience in conducting mental health assessments and delivering therapeutic interventions Strong communication, problem-solving, and clinical documentation skills Knowledge of trauma-informed care, mental health legislation and recovery frameworks Unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence Current Working With Children Check Willingness to participate in a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays Why Apply Through Healthcare Australia?
