About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety‑driven 100‑tonne Crane Truck Driver to join our team in a FIFO capacity. This role involves operating a 100‑tonne crane truck to support lifting operations across remote mining and civil sites. When the crane is not in active operation, the successful candidate will be involved in machine maintenance, pre‑starts, relocations/setup of the crane to new work areas, completing lift documentation, operate other machinery and support general project tasks.
This role offers the opportunity to mentor and support developing operators, contributing to a strong, capable lifting team on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate a 100‑tonne crane truck in accordance with site and legislative requirements
* Perform daily pre‑starts, basic maintenance, inspections, and readiness checks
* Complete precision lifts across mining, civil, and construction works
* Relocate and set up the crane in new operational zones
* Complete all required lift plans, paperwork, and safety documentation
* Support and mentor junior crew members and new operators
* Collaborate closely with riggers, dogmen, supervisors, and lifting teams
* Maintain compliance with FIFO safety, fatigue, and reporting standards
* Operate other machinery as required
About You
* High Risk Work Licence – C1 (minimum)
* Dogman (DG) ticket – essential
* Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
* Experience operating mobile cranes (preferably 100‑tonne or similar capacity)
* Strong understanding of remote‑site safety and mining procedures
* Willingness to train, coach, and mentor others
* Ability to work in a team environment and follow clear direction
* Fit for work, reliable, and professional
* Willing and able to undertake non‑crane duties such as machine upkeep, relocation, and lift planning when required
* Able to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
