This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading earthmoving and civils company in Sydney.
The primary objective of this position is to provide on-site engineering services to assist in achieving organisational and project objectives.
The Role
1. Undertake all HSEQ responsibilities as identified for your role in the Project’s Management Plans and associated documents.
2. Work with Site Foreman to oversee quality assurance.
3. Escalate potential and actual risks that may impact the safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery of activities.
4. Manage quality production as defined by method statements and ITPs. Monitor construction progress to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
5. Establish, measure, and report daily productivities for assigned activities.
6. Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required by the Project Manager.
7. Develop, monitor, and report on programmes for elements of work as required by the Project Manager.
8. Manage work teams in the field.
9. Verify subcontractors’ claims and variations.
10. Undertake procurement as required, including use of ViewPoint and ensuring adherence to SWC governance requirements such as authority limits.
11. Understand, comply, and stay current with all company policies, procedures, and compliance training relevant to your role.
12. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, industry standards, and technological innovations relevant to your role.
About You
* Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
* Australian working rights.
* Sound understanding of earthworks/civil construction.
