**About the role**
- The Santos WA Offshore Assets team is looking to appoint a Financial Analyst to support the financial delivery of information for our projects.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible in meeting the Group's obligations relating to financial planning and analysis, internal management reporting, ASX financial reporting, in addition to, assisting with month end corporate group analysis; within the Finance team and operating division in a timely and cost-effective manner.
**Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values. Key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting and delivery of financial analysis for a group of assets.
- Supporting key Group year end and half year processes.
- Working with key stakeholders to produce and review monthly Asset Performance Reports to provide key stakeholders with analysis, insight and commentary in relation to business performance, including performance against targets and trends, key business drivers and performance metrics.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and operating activities for the Joint Venture
- Assisting with preparation of forecasts and budgets
- Providing assistance to the Asset Teams and Financial Services with accounting and reporting matters
- Focal point of contact with the Joint venture partners, including the preparation of billings and cash calls and interpretation of the Joint Operating Agreement.
**About you**
- Finance experience within the energy sector with project accounting experience is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards with experience in financial report writing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as SAP is highly advantageous.
- Positive collaborative skills and confident in engaging with stakeholders to support the delivery of financial outcomes.
- Flexible, resilient and agile in meeting changing business demands.
