About us:
Cardiac Services provides both inpatient and outpatient cardiac care to the community of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. This includes providing critical care in the Coronary Care Unit, inpatient and outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation education and exercise programs, specialist Heart Failure outpatient services and rehabilitation, cardiac nurse in the Cardiac Investigations Unit and providing the Chest Pain Assessment Service for the Emergency Department intermediate risk chest pain patients and Better Cardiac Care for First Nations people. Cardiac Services staff act as a resource for patients, relatives and hospital staff seeking knowledge and information about cardiovascular disease, cardiac disorders, heart failure and risk factors for heart disease.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide nursing care at an advanced scope of clinical practice, including expanded skills and knowledge in complex cardiac conditions. The role will focus on acute assessment, formulation, and treatment planning, inclusive of appropriate heart failure medication titration, to consumers with complex cardiac conditions, their families, carers, and relevant stakeholders. This role works collaboratively with the interprofessional team and contributes to enhanced consumer/person outcomes by actively leading and supporting existing and emerging nursing-led models of care, whilst maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of the health service and consumers.
About you:
Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory for this position.
* Nurse Practitioner Masters level qualification and NMBA endorsement to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is mandatory.
The Nurse Practitioner is required to meet the Credentialling requirement of the CQHHS in line with AHPRA requirements. The Current requirements include annual audits and is on a 5 year cycle.

Total remuneration value of up to $14,816 p.m. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $75.27 - $78.59 p.h.
