OverviewLifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia.
LLD supports the development and ongoing implementation of suicide prevention and community wellbeing programs, operating across six regions in NSW and Victoria and nationally via a telehealth model.
LLD's network includes Lifeline Centres and Retail Op Shops that provide community-based, environmentally sustainable shopping experiences while funding frontline services.PositionWe are looking for a proactive and customer service–focused retail professional to join our Geelong LifelineShop team.
This is a casual position and will require availability on weekends and public holidays.
The hourly rate and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award Level 3 and include a 25% casual loading and weekend penalty rates.ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service to all shoppers to ensure a positive shopping experience.Supervise volunteers during allocated shifts and ensure store tasks are completed in accordance with LLD's policies and procedures.Merchandise and price stock to maintain an attractive and well-presented store.Learn local community preferences and showcase relevant products.To be successful in this roleWeekend availability as required.Open and close the store and balance the cash register by close of business.Demonstrated experience in retail and a customer service environment.Experience in product merchandising and store presentation in alignment with Work Health & Safety policies and procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Understanding of working with and managing volunteers.Cultural sensitivity and diversity awareness.Self-motivated with initiative and a positive attitude.Willingness to complete required training (WHS, Cash Handling, Team Member Purchasing Policy, etc.).
