This senior advisory role provides expert guidance on organisational culture, workforce capability, and people aspects of change across a multi-service public sector organisation across multiple clinical and community settings. The Senior Culture & Organisational Development Lead works closely with the Head of Culture, Communication & OD and the executive team to provide tools, frameworks, and guidance for managers and leaders to lead change effectively. This is not a change role, it focuses on advising and enabling, helping senior leaders and teams navigate change while maintaining engagement, performance, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic culture and change initiatives to support organisational growth and workforce capability.
- Provide high‑level organisational development advice, including guidance on structure, systems, and behavioural frameworks.
- Develop and implement tailored change programs that enhance engagement, resilience, and readiness at all levels.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring alignment with legislative and organisational priorities.
- Partner with stakeholders to analyse workforce data and improve employee experience through surveys, action planning, and feedback.
- Advise executives and HR/workforce relations on the people implications of organisational change.
- Mentor and support a small OD team (1 direct report).
Key Selection Criteria
- Proven ability to lead large‑scale organisational change initiatives using recognised methodologies (e.g., BCM, Prosci, PCI), including coaching leaders and applying change tools.
- Demonstrated experience in organisational development, culture, and leadership capability programs across complex environments.
- Solid understanding of organisational behaviour and culture, with the ability to translate insights into practical strategies for engagement, performance, and inclusion.
- High‑level communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and build strong relationships.
- Expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and translating legislative and policy requirements into practical guidance.
