Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Store Assistant to join our team on beautiful Fitzroy Island. If you enjoy working in a dynamic island environment, have strong organisational skills, and love engaging with people, this is the role for you!
Commute:
This role requires daily travel from Cairns via the Fitzroy Flyer ferry service (Daily). Ferry transfers will be provided Free of Charge
Key Responsibilities:
* Stock control including ordering, stock takes and inventory management.
* Efficient use of Point of Sale (POS) systems.
* Cleaning and general maintenance of the store.
* Providing friendly, helpful customer service and engaging with visitors during down time.
* Assisting with merchandising and presentation of stock
* Management of financial ledgers/payments
Requirements:
* Experience in retail or general store environments preferred.
* Focus on customer service & engaging with our guests.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Comfortable with commuting by ferry.
* A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
