The role

The purpose of this role is to train and enhance competencies of our Recoveries and Settlements claims consultants whilst improving processes and performance through training activities and process refinement to create a culture of high performance with high integrity within the Motor Claims Operation.

The Technical Trainer will be an integral part of the onboarding of team members, facilitating ongoing training, creating and maintaining training material, knowledge management and improving all service metrics.

- Develop and implement Recoveries & Settlements onboarding strategy to support consultants and Leaders.
- Manage the onboarding of new employees to Recoveries & Settlements.
- Driving improved process efficiencies by maintaining the knowledge management for Recoveries & Settlements.
- Continuous improvement of the learning material for the Recoveries & Settlements to improve the onboarding of new team members and transition into their roles.
- Provide a roadmap for ongoing technical training for Recoveries & Settlements.
- Improving attrition and staff engagement by increasing Recoveries & Settlements knowledge.
- Ensure compliance and business risk policies are both adhered to and challenged to meet the commercial, legislative, and business environments.
- Identify technical training requirements according to operational needs.
- Continually seek opportunities to improve and optimise processes, personal development and enhance customer experience that aligns with strategic goals.
- To role model the A & G values in all dealings with all customers, team members and stakeholders.
- Identify and make recommendations to the Team Leader regarding opportunities identified for system, process, product, or service improvements.

What experience you'll bring

- Previous experience within a Motor Claims role preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of insurance, recoveries and claims management relative to applicable legislation, processes and industry best practice.
- Exceptional communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and develop others.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Previous experience developing learning materials and resources to support different learning styles
- Ability to design and deliver effective onboarding training
