About The Role
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing financial accounting services to tour client, with a primary focus on compliance with regulatory obligations and the provision of timely, accurate, and reliable financial reports to assist in decision-making. This position is a temporary, "all hands on deck" role for a period of 3-4 months. You will be exposed to a large variety of tasks and duties, working closely with other team members.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Compliance: Ensuring accurate and timely submission of external compliance and reporting requirements (GST, BAS, FBT etc.). You will assist with the preparation of statutory financial reports and work with external auditors to ensure they receive information accurately and on time.
* Financial Reporting: Executing the accurate and timely month-end close process. This includes processing month-end journals, completing bank and credit card reconciliations, and ensuring timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for review and sign-off.
* Value-adding Services: Promoting continuous improvement in internal controls, policies, processes, and procedures. You will also provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as well as financial support and data-driven insights.
What We're Looking For
* A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
* CA or CPA is preferred, candidates who are currently studying for one are encouraged to apply.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, with an understanding and application of AASB/IFRS standards.
* You must be proficient in accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and have advanced Excel skills
