Disability Support Worker Job Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide one-on-one support to a 17-year-old participant living with autism in Ballarat.
* The ideal candidate will have experience supporting autistic teenagers or young people with neurodivergence, ensuring the participant's emotional regulation and communication needs are met.
About This Role:
This role involves providing calm, consistent companionship, facilitating participation in community-based activities, and assisting with transport to and from agreed activities. The successful candidate will also encourage skill-building and confidence through structure and positive reinforcement, while maintaining accurate support notes and communication with the family/support team.
Requirements:
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* First Aid and CPR
* Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
* ABN (preferred, or willingness to obtain if working as a contractor)
