We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to work for a Tier 1 Mining Operator. This position is the primary interface between civil earthworks and SMP construction across brownfields projects involving upgrades, plant modifications and sustaining capital works. This role acts as the owner’s technical gatekeeper on site, providing assurance that contractor materials, workmanship, execution and documentation meet required standards in a live operational environment. About the role: Key responsibilities of this role include: Provide quality assurance oversight across major brownfields sustaining capital works Ensure contractor execution, materials and documentation comply with project specifications, engineering designs and statutory regulations Act as the site-based technical authority for QA governance and compliance Support delivery across both civil/structural and mechanical/piping scopes Monitor and verify quality outcomes within active operational plant environments Manage quality interfaces associated with tie-ins, modifications and sustaining capital works in brownfields settings Review traceability, testing and inspection requirements across project scopes Support enforcement of technical standards and respond confidently to contractor challenges where required About You: To be considered for this position you will ideally have: Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering Significant experience in similar QA or project quality roles within mining or heavy industry Strong understanding of contractor quality assurance, compliance and technical governance Experience working on brownfields sustaining capital projects in live plant environments This role is offered FIFO Perth working on a 4:3 roster on a 12 month contract initially with potential to extend.
