About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Officer with expertise in Boilers to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Outage Lead, Boiler you will be a key member of the Outages team.
This role requires you to be experienced and qualified in a mechanical field with a particular focus on boilers and associated equipment.
This permanent, full-time role is site based at Bayswater power station in Muswellbrook, NSW.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing outage work packages and ensure that outage work packages include comprehensive work lists, details of significant events and the coming out of and return to service programs- Collaborating with senior specialist and/or engineers as to the required content and structure of the specification- Supporting the development, monitoring and adjustment of operations plans and strategy and establish planning process guidelines to achieve schedule works are completed at the required standard within budget- Preparing outage scope and plans in SAP relating to simple and complex plant outages and overhauls including capital improvements- Coordinating multiple contractors to safely deliver quality work to schedule and on budget- Estimating cost for scope along with setting, maintaining and reporting on budgets- Effectively communicating and collaborating with various stakeholders including engineers, commercial staff, skilled workers and contractors- Identifying and ordering materials, spares and supporting services within established guidelines- Setting tasks and scheduling work to meet strict reporting and completion deadlines
About You
With experience in the coordination of outages or shutdowns relating to boilers you will be collaborative, skilled and motivated. You will have the ability to bring together various stakeholders to develop plans and strategies to deliver quality work programs on-time, within budget.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline or advanced diploma (TAFE) with relevant experience industry experience or trade qualification- Outage or shutdown project coordinator experience- Strong communication and influencing skills and demonstrated experience you will have the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver scheduled works on time and within budget- A commitment to upholding AGL values and HSE responsibilities for self and others
It would be highly desirable if you have:
- Certificate 10/Welding Supervisors Certificate is highly desirable- Experience in power station maintenance along with working knowledge of power station plant, associated systems and operational and engineering processes
