About the Role
This apprenticeship program is designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter. You will receive comprehensive training, including on-the-job learning and formal education at TAFE.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in the maintenance and repair of rolling stock equipment, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
* Participating in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize asset utilization.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of work procedures and practices to ensure high-quality results.
* Maintaining accurate records of asset condition, maintenance programs, and costing systems.
