The Resilience Manager will support Adelaide and Parafield Airports to plan for and minimise the impact of disruptions to airport and business operations.
The role will be responsible for building and maintaining a sustainable response capability through effective relationships across customers, industry stakeholders and emergency response agencies and building AAL’s resilience maturity in line with our risk appetite.
Responsible for managing all elements of the crisis, incident, emergency planning and business continuity processes, specifically:
- Building relationships and communications with all airport employees, police, emergency services, airlines, tenants, and contract personnel to gather information and build networks of co-operation across the airport community; building preparedness for disruptive events and effective and rapid return to normal operations.
- Management of the Airport Crisis, Incident, Emergency and Continuity plans, policies and procedures, guidelines, checklist, and various emergency notification contact lists and systems.
- Fulfilment of agreed AAL Resilience Maturity Model.
- Research, recommend, procure, and assesses resource solutions, including people, equipment, services, and software, to optimise organisational resilience and improve overall crisis, incident, and emergency preparedness.
- Delivering emergency planning outcomes which meet the compliance requirements of the Regulator and align with airport security and cyber requirements.
- Developing and leading the annual exercise programs.
- Implementing agreed training, exercises and professional development initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and contribute to organisational resilience.
- Effecting and embedding operational change through identified improvement opportunities, including corrective actions identified through all quality assurance activity.
- Optimising the functionality of Noggin to meet AAL’s emergency response and incident management objectives.
- Conducting reviews of policy and procedure to ensure regulatory compliance and that they are fit for purpose, implementing best practice where applicable.

Qualifications
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in emergency management, aviation or equivalent experience

- Formal qualification in aviation management

- Minimum eight years’ experience in a similar or related field
- Experienced in managing operations in an airport environment or similar operational environment
- Experience of managing outsourced labour-based contracts
- Proven experience in process improvement and delivering operating efficiencies
- Knowledge of organisational resilience principles, aviation emergency and security management
- Familiarity and understanding of the relevant Acts and Regulations
- Proven ability to build response capability through training, exercising and professional development programs
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Experienced in operational readiness principles
- A continuous improvement mindset and desire to be a change agent to make a positive difference
