What's the role?
We're looking for a Senior Conduct Risk Analyst to join our Chief Data Office, Data, Digital and AI team, where you'll play a key role in identifying and managing conduct risk using advanced data and system capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone with strong SAS and SQL skills who can diagnose technical issues, manage SAS environments including effective implementation and ongoing management of SAS-based systems, and deliver actionable insights. You'll support risk and compliance teams by building frameworks, automating controls, and monitoring behaviours that may indicate misconduct, malpractice, or compliance breaches.
You'll also work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure our systems and analytics tools are running smoothly and delivering value.
This is a Permanent Sydney-based role with flexible working arrangements.
What do I need?
This role suits someone with a strong technical background and a passion for risk analytics.
Here's what will help you succeed:
* 5+ years of advanced SAS experience, including system management and troubleshooting
* Strong SQL skills with proven ability to simplify complex problem statements
* Hands-on experience with batch job scheduling tools (e.g. Fortra, AutoMate, Control-M, ESP)
* Skilled in integrating batch systems with diverse components (Excel, SharePoint, Sterling, Unix/Linux)
* Capable of independently diagnosing and resolving SAS system and data issues
* Effective communicator with ability to translate technical insights for business stakeholders
* Proficient in designing dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
* Familiar with Risk analytics, Conduct risk, and banking environments
