Nutrien Ag Solutions’ 2026 Livestock Career Development Program will provide the skills and training you need to be a future leader or technical expert within the Livestock Industry.
The program is designed for top talent to gain valuable experience in all aspects of the Livestock activity while completing an in-house Certificate in Livestock Marketing.
During the 24-month program (roles are all permanent), Livestock Trainees will participate in leadership and skill-building workshops, receive on-the-ground training, and be mentored for ongoing support. You’ll have opportunities to work in both saleyard and branch environments, learning effective selling and relationship-building techniques guided by experienced livestock employees and leaders.

- Livestock skills including next generation stock and station agency skills, livestock productivity, animal health and nutrition, Auctions Plus, auctioneering, wool technical and market requirements, and emerging technology
Who we are looking for
- A strong desire to learn and succeed in the Livestock industry with excellent customer service and strong negotiation abilities
- Successful completion of Year 12
- Worked successfully for a minimum of 24 months within the Agricultural industry, ideally within Livestock
- Willing to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident – temporary visa holders are not eligible
- Vaccinated or willing to receive the Q Fever vaccination
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and leadership potential
- Genuine interest and desire to work and learn about the Livestock Industry
- Successful applicants will be offered a position in October to commence in February 2026 to support the peak season
