About the Role We’re seeking a CAD/BIM Team Lead for the ASA Digital Engineering (DE) Program, to manage the delivery of drafting and modelling tasks, while nurturing the growth of a team of junior analysts. Reporting to and supported by the DE Program Coordinator, this role combines hands-on CAD/BIM delivery with people leadership and project coordination. You'll support clients across Australia in industries such as transport, utilities, energy, and urban infrastructure. You’ll also help ASA uphold high standards of digital data quality and compliance (Client or Discipline Project-specific standards). Recent ASA DE Team client outcomes include: Delivering 10,000 as-built work orders for fibre optic rollout using CAD systems. Modelling 3,000 tenancies for Airports using Revit, improving EAM readiness. Updating 1,500 multi-disciplinary drawings and associated models for infrastructure projects across road, rail, energy and wastewater. Producing data rich, detailed BIM models to client LOD/LOI requirements. Key Accountabilities Team Leadership Mentor and train junior analysts with lived experience of neurodivergence. Foster a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. Provide ongoing technical feedback and professional development. Technical Project Delivery Deliver and QA digital engineering outputs: 2D drafting, 3D BIM models, As B uilt drawings, point cloud verification, clash detection, and data migration. Ensure deliverables comply with standards (e.g. Client-specific requirements / BIM Execution Plans). Attend client meetings, provide updates, and communicate technical feedback. Project Coordination Assign work and manage deliverables across multiple project streams. Support analysts through blockers, RFIs, and technical ambiguity. Track progress, metrics, and documentation for stakeholder reporting. What We're Looking For Experience 1–2 years in CAD/BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Revizto, ProjectWise). Experience delivering As-built or Design Drafting in infrastructure, utilities, or facilities. Familiarity with asset data handover standards (e.g., IFC, LOD, LOI) and EAM concepts. Skills Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and a diverse team. Excellent attention to detail and Quality Assurance mindset. Capable of adapting to multiple project tools and workflows.
