Responsibilities
As the Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician (Grade 1/2), under supervision you will provide the safe, efficient and effective supply of medications to patients of the Illawarra Shoalhaven District. Your duties will include dispensing for inpatient and outpatients, preparation and manufacture of sterile and non-sterile medications including cytotoxic products, pre packing medications, distribution and maintenance of pharmacy imprest ward stock, and other administrative tasks relevant to the position.
This position will include the participation in the weekend and public holiday roster and may require work at other pharmacy departments within the district.

* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1: no formal qualifications
* Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2: holds a qualification in a relevant field up to the level of Certificate III in Community Pharmacy
* Pharmacy Technician Grade 1: holds a qualification in a relevant field up to the level of Certificate III in Hospital Pharmacy
* Pharmacy Technician Grade 2: holds a qualification in Certificate IV in Hospital Pharmacy
