About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager passionate about leading our Risk, Quality, Safety, and Compliance Systems. You will inspire a risk-aware and compliant culture, developing and improving our risk, quality, and safety systems organization-wide. Your role is vital in fostering a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and operational standards, including AML/CTF, WHS laws, security, and AUSTRAC reporting.
Responsibilities

Develop and manage the club’s risk management framework, ensuring legal and organizational compliance.
Lead WHS initiatives, audits, training, and incident investigations.
Ensure compliance with WHS, Liquor Licensing, Gaming, Workcover, AML/CTF & AUSTRAC regulations.
Collaborate with leadership and external stakeholders to promote safety and compliance culture.
Monitor legislative changes, updating policies accordingly.
Develop emergency response and business continuity plans.
Manage insurance claims, and prepare risk and compliance reports for leadership.
Coordinate training on risk awareness, safety, and compliance.
Chair WHS meetings and oversee AML/CTF compliance reporting.
Act as Compliance Officer and manage property contractual matters.
Participate in Board Risk and Compliance Sub-Committee meetings and oversee emergency procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years in a risk advisory role within a large, multi-disciplinary organization.
Degree in Compliance, WHS, or Risk Management.
Strong knowledge of risk assessments, controls, and policy development.
Experience managing insurances and legal issues is highly desirable.
Understanding of WHS legislation and regulatory requirements, including QLD laws.
