Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
**Your Opportunity**:The position of Principal Internal Auditor will**:
- Make a meaningful contribution to the achievement of CHQ's vision 'Children and young people first' and objectives (CHQ Strategic Plan 2024 - 28) by providing independent and objective evaluation of risk management, internal process controls and governance to identify better practice insights with a continuous improvement lens.
- Play a key role in providing and assisting the CHQ Head of Internal Audit to deliver effective, contemporary and value adding internal audit services in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) 2024 International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), CHQ Internal Audit Charter (2024) and contributes to the function's maturity and capability.
- Work in partnership with and support the CHQ HIA to deliver all aspects of the internal audit function from development of the strategic internal audit plan, execution of internal audits, reporting, follow-up of internal audit recommendations and response to ad hoc requests.
