POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The opportunity exists for an experienced operator to operate a large fleet of late model equipment, which in return offers a competitive rate of pay, work vehicle and a family business environment.
Due to the nature of the role and our industry, the successful applicant will have flexible working arrangements as the role may require working longer hours, some shift work and weekend work. We also offer the personal flexibility that comes from working with a family business that knows that family comes first and recognises the importance of work-life balance. Moreover, the Treloar Group is committed to assisting our personnel to upskill where desired and there will be opportunities to gain access to employer assisted qualifications and training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate excavators of various size and other plant and equipment competently and safely.
Conduct daily pre-start inspections.
Conduct preventative maintenance, identify faults/problems and help fix/maintain plant as required.
Utilise GPS machine control technology as necessary.
Read and interpret drawings and project documentation.
Capture data and use a tablet/phone to enter job details, dockets, timesheets etc.
Report WHS incidents immediately to site safety officer, supervisor and/or QSE in accordance with site and/or company incident reporting procedures.
By negotiation, travel out of town to work on remote job sites if requested by management.
POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years' experience in the Construction Industry.
Ability to work as part of a team is a must.
Demonstrable commitment to work health and safety practices.
Computer literacy to the required level.
Ability to work to a high standard when unsupervised.
Ability to think independently and devise safe methods to achieve goals.
Valid driver's licence.
Construction Induction (white) card or the ability to obtain one.
Qualifications and/or licences to operate other plant, machinery and/or trucks are desirable but not mandatory.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL:
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol screening.
