Overview
Cancer Council WA recognises the difficulty patients living in regional areas may experience getting to medical treatment centres. We provide a Volunteer Transport Program to assist people to access specified treatment centres. Volunteer drivers are integral to the provision of this service and drive Cancer Council vehicles to safely transport patients to and from medical appointments. This is an ideal volunteer role for someone with the skills and motivation to provide supportive care to cancer patients, their families and carers. This supportive care program operates from Dots Place in Peel (Mandurah). We are currently seeking drivers who are available weekdays Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am-2:00pm. With a Reflection RAP, and a commitment to closing the gap we encourage Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidates to apply.
