About the Role
As a Cleaner at a Juvenile Justice Centre, you will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and operational readiness within a unique and secure environment.
Working in a Juvenile Justice Centre requires professionalism, integrity and the ability to operate respectfully within a structured and secure environment. Cleaners play a critical role in supporting the safety, wellbeing and daily operations of the centre by maintaining high standards of cleanliness across accommodation areas, administration spaces and shared facilities.
Part time hours available time Monday to Friday from 5:00pm to 10:45pm. The evening shift structure offers predictable hours and work–life balance, making it suitable for those seeking stable supplementary income or flexible employment. Casual Positions are for Saturday mornings at this stage.

Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include:
* Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming accommodation and common areas
* Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, offices, program rooms and shared spaces
* Following strict cleaning schedules and security procedures
* Safely handling cleaning equipment and approved chemicals
* Maintaining hygiene standards in line with government and WHS requirements
* Reporting hazards, maintenance issues and security concerns promptly
* Supporting periodic deep cleans and additional operational cleaning need
About You

* Are comfortable working within a Juvenile Justice / correctional centre environment
* Demonstrate professionalism, discretion and respect in secure settings
* Have knowledge of safe cleaning practices and WHS requirements
* Can follow structured procedures and comply with security protocols
* Possess strong attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high hygiene standards
* Communicate clearly and escalate issues appropriately
