About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager - Western Region, this opportunity comes at a time of unprecedented growth within our business.
You'll be the primary contact for all things 'people' in WA but still part of the wider HR team, nationally. Working together, we provide advice across the business, supporting project teams, while delivering a people‑centric approach to the people and culture function, and contributing to improvement projects, such as our recent IT transformation project.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with the business to design and implement HR strategies aligned with operational needs.
* Provide expert advice on industrial relations, employee relations, organisational design, and workforce planning.
* Lead talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies to secure and grow specialist skills.
* Manage employment contracts, remuneration, and immigration/visa management.
* Support Project Managers with crewing needs and workforce resourcing.
* Drive organisational development, leadership capability, and employee engagement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with employment law, WHS legislation, and industry standards.
* Utilise HR metrics and analytics to guide decision‑making and continuous improvement.
About You
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources (or AHRI certification) OR Diploma of HR with 5+ years in a senior HR role.
* Strong knowledge of Fair Work NES, industrial relations, and contemporary HR practices.
* Demonstrated experience managing complex ER/IR matters, negotiations, and workplace investigations.
* Proven ability to partner with leaders in dynamic, project‑driven or construction‑related industries.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
* Experience with HRIS (ideally ELMO), Microsoft 365, and recruitment platforms (SEEK, LinkedIn).
* A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to pivot quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
* Current driver's licence, police clearance, and flexibility to travel regionally as required.
