About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our team in the Interventional Cardiology Department at St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst.
Job Description:
* Role Title: Senior Radiographer
* Role Type: Permanent part-time (28hrs/week)
* Role Grade: Radiographer Level 3 Grade1 Year 1-2
* Department and Location: Interventional Cardiology, St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Radiographer to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, anaesthetists, nurses, and product representatives in complex cardiology procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert imaging for endomyocardial biopsies, coronary angiograms, TAVI's, Mitraclip's, and pacemaker procedures using x-ray angiography, IVUS, and OCT
* Closely monitor patient haemodynamics during complex interventional procedures
* Promote a culture of safety to protect both patients and staff from ionising radiation
* Pilot improvement projects at a centre for cardiac excellence
* Educate colleagues through conferences, department in-services, and scientific papers
About You:
* You have experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiology, preferably in a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology setting
* You possess haemodynamic monitoring skills, including pressure waveform and ECG rhythm recognition
* You hold a Bachelor of Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration and a valid NSW EPA Radiation Licence
* You can prioritise tasks under pressure and make sound decisions independently
