We have an urgent need for a manager to oversee and provide direction for all Personnel Department related issues, ensuring that members, volunteers and employees are well supported during their association with Wycliffe Australia.
Job Summary
This role is located at our National Centre in Kangaroo Ground, Victoria. We welcome applications from Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide oversight and support for all staff in the Personnel Department.
* Develop and implement strategies for the department's growth and development.
* Ensure effective member care, including new applicants, new members preparing for assignments, current members, retirees, and training.
* Liaise with external colleagues as required and review these relationships annually.
* Coordinate scheduling, agendas, and minutes of Personnel Committee meetings.
* Maintain compliance with Child and Vulnerable Persons Policy, accurate records, and relevant training.
* Develop and maintain competencies in Personnel responsibilities, including awareness of legislation and industry trends.
* Review and revise Personnel policies and processes regularly.
* Network with others to assess trends and directions for personnel work.
* Contribute to the CEO Senior Leadership Team.
* Pursue regular professional development and supervision.
Qualifications and Skills
* A genuine personal faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to living out Christian values.
* Relevant HR experience, understanding of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
* Strong leadership skills, including team management, delegation, empowerment, and motivation.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Proven team-oriented approach to work, with ability to work collaboratively and coordinate information flows.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Google Workspace.
Training and Development
Bible College, language, and culture training would be helpful. Orientation workshops will be provided at the National Centre.
