West Toowoomba Vet Surgery is seeking a friendly, organised and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy, well-established practice on a full-time basis.
We are a community-focused veterinary clinic providing high-quality care to dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and small mammals. Our reception team plays a vital role in delivering excellent client experiences and supporting our veterinary and nursing staff.
About the Role
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your responsibilities will include:
* Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
* Managing phone calls, emails and appointment bookings
* Handling client enquiries and providing clear information
* Processing payments and managing invoices
* Maintaining accurate client and patient records
* Supporting the team with general administrative duties
* Assisting with smooth day-to-day clinic operations
* Ensuring support and comapssionate care to grieving clients
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has excellent communication and customer service skills
* Has the ability to empathise with people
* Has a genuine love of animals and is keen to train in fear free techniques
* Is well organised with strong attention to detail
* Can multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
* Is confident using computers and practice management systems
* Has a minimum of 1 year previous reception, administration or customer service experience (veterinary experience is an advantage but not essential)
* Must be an Australian citizen with appropriate work rights
