Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre is looking for a passionate and experienced CEO/Manager to oversee our programmes and lead our teams.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week (Above Award) – Commencing Mid‑March 2026

Role Overview
The CEO/Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre and overseeing the management and governance of the organisation. This role provides leadership across CHNC's three work teams: Child, Youth and Family; Aged Care and Volunteer Programs; Child Care OOSH & Vacation Care.
Specific Responsibilities
* Staff recruitment
* Strategic Planning
* Funding – develop and supervise preparation of funding submissions
* HR
* Policy Development
* Business Development
* Compliance
* Audits
* Reporting to the Management Committee
* Asset Management
* Inform and advise Management Committee on all relevant issues
* Monitor and respond to legislative changes
* Attend and participate in meetings in the area which are relevant to the role
* Network and co‑coordinate community partnerships
* Work within all legislative guidelines, including WH&S, EEO, Child Safe Organisation and Aged Care Requirements
* Other duties as required by the Management Committee
Qualifications & Requirements

* Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Business, Accounting)
* Demonstrated experiences in meeting ECEC regulations, the Aged Care Act, and requirements for a Child Safe Organization
* Experience supervising staff and volunteers
* Motivation, enthusiasm and leadership skills
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills
* Experience working with and reporting to a Management Committee
* Networking skills and knowledge of the local community
* Computer literacy
* Understanding of and commitment to EEO, WH&S and other relevant legislation
* Willingness to undergo a Police Check
* Current Working with Children Check
* Two current referees
