About the Role We're looking for an Environmental Health Officer to implement and support programs that promote public health and environmental sustainability. You'll work with the community and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental health regulations, conduct inspections, and develop strategies that protect the built and natural environment.
Key Responsibilities Conduct scheduled environmental health inspections, including food premises, cooling towers, and on-site sewage systems. Facilitate environmental health promotion and education programs. Monitor and respond to environmental health issues such as noise, air, water, and land pollution. Develop and implement environmental sustainability policies and initiatives. Ensure compliance with the NSW WHS Act 2011 and other relevant legislation. About You Essential: Degree in Environmental Health or a related field. Current NSW Driver's Licence (Class C). Desirable: Local government experience in environmental health. Knowledge of current environmental health issues and policy development.
