The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Automotive Assistant Store Manager to join our established Rockhampton store. Bring your leadership skills and industry knowledge to a dynamic team to help drive continued success.
In this leadership role, you will assist with the store's day-to-day operations, ensuring an efficient, safe, and high-performing workshop environment. You will be responsible for coordinating and allocating work to team members, maintaining strong workflow management, and upholding our company standards, procedures, and customer service expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with strong operational and people management skills to drive team performance and contribute to the ongoing success of our store.
Key responsibilities
* Actively developing and maintaining strong relationships with both retail and automotive trade customers.
* Provide support to the Store Manager and manage the store in their absence.
* Lead, motivate and support your team; monitor team performance, coach and train as required, lead store recruitment activities.
* Assisting in the workshop and taking a hands‑on approach when required.
* Promoting and selling Pedders products and services with confidence and expertise.
* Maintaining Pedders store standards, including full compliance with OH&S requirements and all company policies.

What You Bring to the Team
* Certificate III Automotive (Mechanical – Light Vehicle).
* Qualification or demonstrated experience in automotive suspension repairs and operation.
* Relevant experience in a management or leadership role. Demonstrated experience from a similar franchise/automotive business model is desirable but not essential.
* Communication skills, ability to influence, encourage and lead your team to achieve goals.
* High level of time management skills with the ability to deal with competing priorities and experience of effectively delegating and managing workshop flow.
* Current and unrestricted Driver's Licence.
* Sales and achievement focused
